Why Yoga?

Researches shows that yoga does wonders for the physical and mental development of young people.

They become more focused, confident, agile, and balanced. They learn to connect with their inner voice and build strong relationships with others.

We currenlty have three groups by age:

  • 🐣 Kids: 6-10

  • 🐛 Mini-teens: 11-15

  • 🦋 Maxi-teens: 15-19

🎯 Location Ljubljana Center

We train youth workers and school teachers on how to seamlessly integrate yoga techniques into their daily interactions with young people. 🙌

We partner with youth organizations and institutions through various projects all over Slovenia and Europe. 🫶 🤝 🇪🇺

Nina BARBIC

Yoga teacher since 2015. She completed her training at Agniyoga school and specialized in teen yoga at the Teen Yoga Foundation in England. In 2022, she decided to spread yoga among teens in Slovenia by founding Teenyoga Slovenia.

In 2024, Teenyoga Slovenia was chosen by a European consortium to roll out in Slovenia the ERASMUS+ project READY, to incorporate yoga into the daily routines of youth workers and school teachers.

Alongside education in nonviolent communication, mediation, and NLP, she found yoga for teenagers to be an excellent tool for helping her three teenage children cope with the challenges of this vibrant period. You can often meet her with her family and dog in the forest and meadows, as she is an avid gatherer of nature’s gifts.

She also enjoys spending her time in the garden, baking bread, preparing herbal teas, and making homemade jam. She likes to spend her evenings at the cinema or with a good book.
